On December 3, 2009 Locke School held our Annual Science Fair to showcase the science skills of students in grades 6 - 8. (Click HERE to see photos in our photo album from the event.) The following 4 students were recognized for their talent and hard work:

3rd Place:  Gabriel Gonzalez (Grade 7, Room 215) for his project - "Which Bridge Design Can Support the Most Weight".

2nd Place: Areeb A (Grade 8, Room 220) for his project - "Dissolution of Solutes".

 

1st Place: Nia O., (Grade 8, Room 220) for her project - "The Chemical Analysis of Rainwater".

 

Both Nia and Areeb will represent Locke School at the Regional Science Fair in January!  Good Luck to both of you!!

Also, 6th Grader Ethan O's project on "How Effective are Common Antiseptics?" will be entered into a competition to attend a luncheon at the Museum of Science Industry.
