About Me

My name is Ms. Escamilla, I've been an educator for 7 years and this will be my 5th year teaching at Locke Elementary. I was born in Brooklyn, NY but spent most of my childhood in Chicago where I went through the Chicago Public School system. I attended Lane Tech College Prep HS and graduated from Concordia University Chicago with a Bachelor's degree in education with an endorsement in Physical Education & Health.

 

Whether it's playing, coaching, or officiating; I love staying active and participating in sports. At Locke Elementary I coach boys soccer during the Fall and boys basketball during the Winter. During the Spring, I serve as the assistant coach for the girls varsity soccer team at Northside College Prep HS. During my weekends and part of the summer I referee youth soccer at the Fire Pitch on the Northside or in the nearby suburbs for tournaments.

 

Some of my non-sport related hobbies include: camping, cooking, hiking, drawing, and playing video games. I also love spending time with friends and family whenever possible.
