Mrs. Biggs - Diverse Learners Teacher

Hello!

 

My name is Robin Biggs and I have been an educator for 27 years, and have been at Locke Elementary since January 2021.  I have a Bachelors degree and 2 Masters degrees from Northern Illinois University, originally I went to school to be an elementary general education teacher. I also learned about being a school librarian and have worked with students from Kindergarten through High School. I have my administration degree too. While working a part-time job after school, I fell in love with working with students with various abilities in their homes which led me to go back to school for my Special Education certification. 

 

Outside of school, I volunteer with an organization that helps people and animals that are struggling with every day needs. I foster cats. I have 2 daughters that are now adults. My husband, daughters and I love to travel and see the world. Many times I have pictures that I took on vacation that can tie-in with our curriculum for students to see.
